Reporting Problems

To report problems, you with a current maintenance agreement should submit a Service Ticket by clicking on the Service Ticket Manager link at:

Note: Please be sure to include the PlantWise version number and enhancement level being used.

The text of any error messages or routing exceptions can be copied out of the text fields of Error or Exception List dialogs and pasted directly into the body of an e-mail message.

Be prepared to send project files, project setup parameters, data tables, as well as the equipment library. This is most easily done by sending the entire project (zipped) as an attached file to the Service Ticket submission.

Please use the Model > Archive > Project and Model to create a zip file.

Creating an Archive.

Occasionally there will be a screen image that you want to send to the support group (for example, an extensive error message). Bentley Systems suggests the use .png, .gif or .jpg formats for troubleshooting issues because these file types are designed for viewing on a computer monitor and are smaller files.
